Stay connected to Christ

Life with God is not just about how we start, but how we stay. In Christ we find the strength to keep going, grow, and bear fruit.

Devotional

The walk with God is not built on moments. It’s built on staying.

Some days feel easier. Faith feels light. Everything seems to flow. But there are also days when everything feels heavy. Your mind drifts. Your heart feels distant. And continuing gets hard.

That’s where the Word brings us back.

In John 15:4-5, Jesus says:

“Remain in me, and I will remain in you… apart from me you can do nothing.”

Stay connected.

This isn’t about doing more. It’s about staying close. Just like a branch needs to stay connected to the vine to live, we need to stay connected to Christ to keep going.

When we drift, even a little, we lose strength. Faith weakens. Peace fades. Direction gets blurry. But when we stay, even quietly, even when it’s hard, something inside holds together.

Staying doesn’t always feel strong. It’s a choice.

It’s opening the Word again.

It’s praying even when you don’t have the words.

It’s not letting go of Jesus.

In Colossians 2:6-7, Scripture says:

“Just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him.”

That’s how life with God grows. Not in big moments, but in consistency.

Today, don’t try to do everything at once.

Just stay.

Stay connected to Christ.

Come back to Him as many times as you need.

That’s where life holds together.

And that’s where fruit begins to grow.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, help me stay connected to You. When I feel weak, hold me. When I drift, bring me back. Teach me to walk with You every day. Amen.
