The Life that flows, a Spring within you
Whoever receives Christ does not have to live empty. The life that comes from Him fills us from within and changes the way we live.
Simples Assim, Jesus begins with a calm and grounded presence: the devotional of the day, a public library, and a multilingual experience prepared from the start.
Whoever receives Christ does not have to live empty. The life that comes from Him fills us from within and changes the way we live.
Devotional
The life that flows, a spring within you.
Jesus said that the water He gives becomes a spring.
And that changes the way we understand life with God.
A lot of people try to hold themselves together based only on what is happening around them. They look for strength in circumstances, in results, and in good moments. But Jesus shows that when someone receives Him, God does something much deeper.
In John 4, Christ says that the water He gives becomes a spring welling up to eternal life. Then in John 7:38, He says that rivers of living water will flow from within the one who believes.
Life with God does not stay on the surface. It takes root deep within us.
That does not mean the journey will be easy or free from pain. It means that the person who lives in Christ is not sustained only by what is happening around them. There is life within. There is His presence. There is grace. There is God’s care.
And that spring is not there only to keep someone going. It also reaches other people. Whoever lives in Christ carries something within that brings comfort, strength, hope, and points others back to God.
That is why the Christian life is not an empty life. It is not trying to survive on the outside while everything is dry within. In Jesus, there is real life. And that life flows.
Today, remember this:
You were not called to live empty inside.
In Christ, there is a spring within you.
Prayer
Lord, fill my heart with Your life. Do not let me live empty, but sustained by what comes from You. Let that spring rise up within me, and lead me to live in a way that others are also touched by Your grace. Amen.
