Build Your Faith Every Day

Faith needs daily care before God, through His Word and sincere prayer.

Devotional

Jude wrote to people who needed to stay firm while facing teachings that could pull the heart away from God. In Jude 1:20, he says, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.”

Faith is shown as something being built. This happens before God, when a person comes back to His Word and prays with an honest heart. Faith grows as the heart stays close to the Lord.

The next verse gives the same direction with more depth: “Keep yourselves in the love of God” (Jude 1:21). Staying in His love protects the heart from living only by feelings, pressure, or self-reliance.

Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Faith needs to be fed by the truth God has revealed. When His Word loses its place in daily life, the heart becomes more vulnerable to fear and spiritual weariness.

Jesus also said, “for without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:5). This brings faith back to its proper place. Spiritual growth depends on remaining in Christ and living honestly before Him.

Today, take care of your faith. Seek God with sincerity. Make room for His Word. Growth may seem quiet, but God works in the heart that stays near Him.

Prayer

Lord, teach me to care for my faith with sincerity. Help me remain in Your Word, pray with an open heart, and depend on You every day. In Jesus’ name, amen.
