Jesus Is the True Light

John presents Jesus as the Light who came into the world. In John 1:9, Scripture says, “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”

This word invites us to look within. We may know many ideas about God and still live with confusion in the heart. When Christ shines His light on our lives, we begin to see what needs to be surrendered before Him.

Many times, we try to understand everything through reason. We seek control over what is beyond our hands and become weighed down by what we cannot resolve. Jesus calls us to come near to Him with sincerity.

The light of Christ reaches places we hide because of fear or habit. It helps us recognize the truth without running from God.

Coming near to Jesus changes the way we see life. He reveals who God is and helps us look at our own hearts with honesty.

Today, turn your heart to Christ with sincerity. He is the true Light, and His truth guides the heart.
