Receive the Light of Christ
Receiving Jesus means trusting Him with sincerity and allowing life to be guided by God’s truth.
Simples Assim, Jesus begins with a calm and grounded presence: the devotional of the day, a public library, and a multilingual experience prepared from the start.
Receiving Jesus means trusting Him with sincerity and allowing life to be guided by God’s truth.
Devotional
John speaks about Jesus coming into the world and shows how the human heart is called to respond to Him. In John 1:12, Scripture says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”
This word leads us to look at our relationship with Christ. We can hear about Jesus, know stories from Scripture, and be close to religious settings, while still keeping the heart closed to Him.
Receiving Jesus involves trust. It means allowing His light to reach what we have kept hidden because of fear, guilt, or habit. When Christ enters the life, we begin to see God differently and look at our own hearts with greater honesty.
Faith does not begin with trying to appear better before others. It begins when the heart turns to Christ and learns to depend on Him.
Every day, we need to ask whether Jesus has only a place in our words or whether we are allowing Him to guide our lives.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I want to receive You with sincerity. Guide my heart and teach me to live before God as a beloved child. In Jesus’ name, amen.
