Knowing Jesus Changes Everything
Knowing Jesus changes the way we see God and reveals what is still within the heart.
Simples Assim, Jesus begins with a calm and grounded presence: the devotional of the day, a public library, and a multilingual experience prepared from the start.
Knowing Jesus changes the way we see God and reveals what is still within the heart.
Devotional
In John 16:3, Jesus told His disciples that some would act against them “because they have not known the Father, nor me.”
This word leads us to examine the faith we live. Someone can speak about God, defend religious ideas, and still be far from the heart of the Father.
When the heart does not know Jesus, religion can become harsh. A person may think he is serving God while treating others without love. He may keep a correct appearance while remaining far from the grace of Christ within.
Knowing Jesus changes the way we look at God. It also changes the way we see people and ourselves. In John 17:3, Jesus said, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”
This word shows that life with God involves a real relationship with the Father through Christ. It is not enough to know how to speak about Jesus. We need to allow Him to reach the heart and reveal what still needs to be dealt with in us.
Every day, we need to ask the Lord for sincere faith. Knowing Jesus means walking near Him and allowing His truth to guide us.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I want to know You truly. Deliver me from a faith that is only appearance, and draw my heart near to the Father. Teach me to live before You with sincerity. In Jesus’ name, amen.
