You Were Reached by Grace
God’s grace reaches the heart before any merit and calls us to live as children received in Christ.
Simples Assim, Jesus begins with a calm and grounded presence: the devotional of the day, a public library, and a multilingual experience prepared from the start.
God’s grace reaches the heart before any merit and calls us to live as children received in Christ.
Devotional
In Ephesians 1:4-5, Paul writes that God “hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world” and “predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ”.
This word lifts the burden of trying to earn God’s love. Life with the Father begins with the grace He has given us in Christ.
Many times, we carry the feeling that we must prove our worth. We try to make up for failures, hide weakness, and build an acceptable image before God. But the gospel calls us to look to Christ, where grace has already reached us.
To be adopted by God means to be received by Him. This does not make life careless. It leads the heart to respond with gratitude and sincerity.
Grace does not give us permission to remain far away. It brings us near to the Father and teaches us to live before Him as beloved children.
Every day, we need to remember that we belong to God because of Christ. This truth brings rest to the heart that is tired of trying to justify itself.
Prayer
Father, thank You because Your grace has reached us in Christ. Teach us to live as beloved children and to rest in Your care. In Jesus’ name, amen.
