You Do Not Need to Pretend, God Receives Imperfect People
God knows our whole life and calls us near because of the love He has shown in Christ.
Simples Assim, Jesus begins with a calm and grounded presence: the devotional of the day, a public library, and a multilingual experience prepared from the start.
God knows our whole life and calls us near because of the love He has shown in Christ.
Devotional
Many times, we try to hide what is within us. We keep weakness, pain, and failure inside, as though God could only receive us after everything is fixed.
In Romans 5:8, Scripture says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
This verse places us before God’s love in a simple and deep way. Christ did not come to us after we had put our lives in order. He reached us while we were still marked by sin.
This helps us stop pretending before God. He knows what we try to hide. He knows where we are tired. He sees what we cannot put in order within ourselves.
God calls us to live with sincerity before Him. The grace of Christ does not lead us to keep wearing masks. It leads us to open the heart and trust that the Lord can deal with our lives in truth.
Every day, we need to remember that God receives real people. We do not need to appear strong before Him. We need to come near with sincerity.
Prayer
Lord, help us live with sincerity before You. Remove every mask from us and draw our hearts near to Your love revealed in Christ. In Jesus’ name, amen.
