Life with Jesus Brings Peace. True Happiness Is Found in Christ.

The peace Jesus gives reaches the tired heart and teaches the soul to rest in God.

Devotional

Many times, we look for happiness in things that change. We chase security, approval, and moments of relief, but the heart remains restless when it is far from God.

In John 14:27, Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

This word calls us to look to the peace that comes from Christ. Jesus said this to His disciples before difficult moments. He did not promise a life without trouble. He gave a peace able to keep the heart along the way.

True happiness in Christ begins when we stop giving the soul to what cannot sustain it. Good circumstances can bring joy for a time, but only Jesus reaches the deepest place within us.

There are days when the heart feels heavy, even when everything seems to be in place. This reveals our need for God. We need the presence of Christ, His truth, and the rest He gives.

Every day, we need to turn the heart back to Jesus and allow His peace to guide what we feel, think, and choose.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, bring peace to our hearts. Teach us to rest in Your presence and to find in You the joy that sustains the soul. In Jesus’ name, amen.
