Life Is Now in Christ, He Lives in Me
Living in Christ means allowing Jesus to reach the center of our will, our decisions, and the things we still try to control without surrendering them to God.
Simples Assim, Jesus begins with a calm and grounded presence: the devotional of the day, a public library, and a multilingual experience prepared from the start.
Living in Christ means allowing Jesus to reach the center of our will, our decisions, and the things we still try to control without surrendering them to God.
Devotional
In Galatians 2:20, Paul says, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.”
This word takes us inward. It is not only about changing behavior. It speaks of a life that no longer belongs to its own pride, its own desires, and the attempt to control everything without God.
We still face real struggles. The body grows tired. The mind becomes anxious. The heart desires things that do not always draw us near to Christ. There are moments when we want to follow Jesus, while still keeping areas that give us pleasure, security, or a sense of control.
Paul does not write as someone who no longer faced conflict. He speaks as someone who understood whom his life belonged to. Faith in Christ begins to touch small decisions, hidden reactions, careless words, and the paths we choose when no one is watching.
To say that Christ lives in us is a truth that confronts the heart. We cannot treat Jesus as one part of life and keep ruling the heart as though everything still belonged to us.
Every day, we need to ask honestly who is leading our life. Where Christ rules, the heart begins to truly change. Where we resist, we need to return to Him with humility.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, live in us and rule our hearts. Show us the areas that still resist Your will, and teach us to walk by faith before the Father. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Bible reference
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
