Jesus Is the Way

Jesus does not call us to look for God through shortcuts, formulas, or religious appearance. He calls the heart into a living relationship with the Father, grounded in Him, where truth brings light to the soul and life finds direction.

Devotional

Many people spend their lives looking for a way. They seek peace, meaning, forgiveness, and a direction that does not depend only on circumstances.

That search appears in many forms. At times, we try to control everything. At other times, we look for security in people, results, religion, or our own strength. Still, the heart remains restless when it is far from God.

In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Jesus did not give His disciples a cold answer. He spoke to men who were confused, uncertain, and afraid of what was ahead. His answer was not a distant explanation. It was an invitation to trust Him.

Following Jesus begins when we recognize that we need Him. Knowing the right phrases about God is not enough. Carrying a tradition is not enough. The heart needs to surrender to the Son and allow Him to lead life to the Father.

When Jesus is the way, our decisions stop depending only on our anxiety. When His truth reaches the heart, lies lose their place. When His life sustains us, the soul stops searching for rest where it could never be found.

Every day, we need to return to Christ with sincerity. He remains the way for those who are tired of walking without direction.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, guide our hearts to the Father. Show us where we have looked for security away from You, and teach us to walk by the truth of Your Word. In Jesus’ name, amen.
