A Home Where Jesus Reigns

Faith at home becomes visible in the way we treat the people who live with us. When the Word of Christ is given room in daily life, it corrects our reactions and shapes relationships marked by care and forgiveness.

Devotional

Colossians 3:16 tells us to let the Word of Christ dwell richly within us. That presence must reach the place where we are most fully known, because weariness exposes our impatience and conflict reveals what still needs to be addressed.

A home can keep religious habits while remaining marked by harsh responses or old resentment. When Jesus reigns, His Word begins to shape the way we listen and respond. It also leads us to admit when we have hurt someone and to seek reconciliation without waiting for the other person to take the first step.

John 13:35 shows that love identifies the disciples of Jesus. At home, that love becomes visible when someone’s weakness is met with care and a wrong is addressed honestly, without contempt. Fellowship with Christ also helps us notice when someone is too tired to ask for help.

Your home may carry tension that has started to feel normal. Ask the Lord to use His Word to reveal what needs to change in you. Let Him begin with the way you respond to the people who live near you.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, let Your Word reach the way we live at home. Deal with our reactions and teach us to care for one another sincerely. In Jesus’ name, amen.
