Simples Assim, Jesus begins with a calm and grounded presence: the devotional of the day, a public library, and a multilingual experience prepared from the start.
We look for answers that will help us live well. When Christ is left out, knowledge cannot guide the heart. In Him, we find wisdom that reveals God and reaches our motives, giving direction to our decisions.
Devotional
Colossians 2:2-3 says that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ. Paul wrote to people surrounded by teachings that sounded profound and were drawing their hearts away from the sufficiency of Jesus.
We can also search many sources for answers and remain confused. When fear grows, we want guarantees. Faced with a decision, we may look for an explanation that removes every risk. The need for certainty can lead us to collect information without learning to trust God.
In Christ, wisdom becomes direction for life. His Word reveals what is shaping our desires and corrects thoughts we have accepted as truth. Knowing Him requires closeness. We need to listen to what He says and allow that truth to reach our ordinary decisions.
The wisdom of Jesus also confronts pride. Knowledge can become a way to appear superior or avoid admitting our limits. Near Christ, we learn to receive correction and acknowledge that we still need to be taught.
You may be trying to solve an important matter through analysis and control alone. Bring that search to Jesus. Ask Him to show you what your soul is truly seeking and to guide your decision.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, teach me to seek in You the wisdom I need. Use Your Word to shape my decisions and keep my heart willing to learn. In Jesus’ name, amen.
