Within the Covenant

Belonging to Christ changes where we look for security. The new covenant reminds us that our life is held in Him, even when we face loss or circumstances we cannot control.

Devotional

Colossians 3:3-4 says that our life is hidden with Christ in God. This truth brings rest when we try to find security in circumstances that keep changing.

The story of Noah shows people kept by God in a situation they could not control. In Christ, we find something even deeper. Hebrews 9:15 presents Jesus as the Mediator of the new covenant. Our confidence rests in what He has done for us.

The new covenant holds us through the difficulties of this life. We still face loss and days when our faith feels small. Knowing Who we belong to changes the way we walk through those moments. We can rest in Christ’s faithfulness when we do not know what comes next.

This security also reaches our need to keep everything under control. When we try to secure the future by our own strength, anxiety grows. The covenant reminds us that our hope is held by Jesus.

You may be living through an unstable season. Remember what Colossians says: your life is in Christ. That truth can hold you while you still do not know how the situation will end.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, establish my heart in Your faithfulness. When fear makes me look for security in what is uncertain, remind me that my life is held in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
