Walk as a Child of Light
Those who have been reached by Christ learn to live before God with greater truth in the heart and in everyday choices.
Simples Assim, Jesus begins with a calm and grounded presence: the devotional of the day, a public library, and a multilingual experience prepared from the start.

Devotional
In Ephesians 5:8, Scripture says, “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.”
This word calls us to look at how we are living now. If the light of Christ has reached us, life begins to be seen before God with greater sincerity.
John 1:9 presents Jesus as “the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” This light reaches the heart and shows what needs to be dealt with. It also helps us recognize paths that once seemed normal, but were drawing us away from the Lord.
Many times, we want God’s peace, but we resist when He touches areas we would rather keep. We ask the Lord to care for parts of our lives, while trying to leave untouched the sins we keep close, the things that still give us pleasure even when they weigh on the heart. Walking as a child of light involves the decision to allow Him to deal with what still holds us.
That decision appears in ordinary life. The light of Christ reaches our choices, our words, and what we allow to grow within us.
Every day, we need to ask the Lord for a heart willing to live in the light we have received from Him.
Prayer
Lord, help us walk as children of light. Show us what needs to be surrendered to You, and teach us to live in a way that is consistent with the presence of Christ in us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
