The Way, the Truth, and the Life, Jesus Is Enough.

Faith finds its center in Jesus. In Him, the heart stops looking for security in fragile paths and learns to rest in the truth that leads to the Father.

Devotional

In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

This word brings us before the center of the Gospel. Jesus did not give His disciples a theory to calm their anxiety. He called their hearts to trust Him.

Many people seek God while trying to gather answers, religious practices, personal effort, and some sense of control. On the outside, everything may seem right. Within, the heart may still be tired, trying to find rest where there is no life.

Jesus presents Himself as the way because He leads us to the Father. He is the truth that exposes our illusions and heals what lies have wounded. In Him we find the life that does not depend on human strength to remain.

Saying that Jesus is enough also confronts the way we live. Many times, we want Christ, while still looking for security in things that pass away. We want peace, but we keep trying to carry the direction of life on our own.

Faith matures when the heart returns to Jesus without trying to add shortcuts. In Him there is forgiveness for guilt, grace for the weak, and direction for those who no longer know where to go.

Every day, we need to return to this simple and deep truth. Jesus is enough to lead our life to the Father.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, keep our hearts in You. Show us where we have looked for security outside Your presence, and teach us to remain firm in the way that leads to the Father. In Jesus’ name, amen.
