In Philippians 1:6, Paul says that God has begun a good work and will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
This truth reaches the one who feels tired of the process within. Many times, we want immediate change. We wish we could overcome old patterns at once, stop repeating mistakes, respond better, think with deeper faith, and feel ready without having to walk through delay.
But life with Christ deals with the soul deeply. God works in places we do not always notice. He deals with old desires, confused thoughts, hidden wounds, and resistance that still tries to remain.
The process can reveal weaknesses we would rather hide. It can also show how much we depend on the Lord. That brings needed humility, but it also brings comfort, because the work belongs to God.
The Lord does not abandon those He is forming. Even when progress feels small, His grace continues to sustain the walk. What matters is remaining in Christ with sincerity, without using slowness as a reason to give up.
Today, do not despise what God is doing in you. Bring Him the weariness of the process and keep walking with faithfulness.
Prayer
Lord, continue Your work in us. Give us patience to walk through the process and humility to be dealt with by You. Sustain our faith when change feels slow. In Jesus’ name, amen.
