Persevere in Prayer
A long season of waiting can wear down our faith and make God seem distant. Persevering in prayer keeps the heart open before Him, even when the answer is delayed or comes in a way we do not yet understand.
Simples Assim, Jesus begins with a calm and grounded presence: the devotional of the day, a public library, and a multilingual experience prepared from the start.

Devotional
Romans 12:12 calls us to remain steadfast in prayer. These words reach the person who has brought the same request to God many times and has begun to wonder whether continuing to pray will make any difference.
Delay can intensify anxiety and awaken the urge to control what happens. When the answer does not come as expected, silence may feel like abandonment. Jesus understood this weakness. In Luke 18:1, He taught His disciples that they should always pray and not lose heart.
We can persevere without constant strength or carefully arranged words. We can come before God with weary faith and admit that we no longer know how to wait. Prayer keeps that pain in His presence, where we can speak honestly.
God may also answer differently from what we imagined. During the waiting, He can reveal desires that have become tangled with our request and confront our need to control the outcome. The delay remains difficult. Through it, the heart can stay open to His will.
There may be something you have almost stopped praying about. Bring it before the Lord again. Tell Him honestly that you are afraid of disappointment, and remain in His presence. Perseverance begins when you choose to keep returning.
Prayer
Lord, You know what I have been waiting for and how this delay has worn me down. Guard my heart from discouragement and teach me to remain before You honestly. In Jesus’ name, amen.
