The Christian life grows deeper as we allow Christ to shape the way we live. Living by faith in the Son of God means recognizing our dependence on Him and letting His presence reach areas that still resist His will.

In Galatians 2:20, Paul says that Christ lives in him and that he now lives by faith in the Son of God, who loved him and gave Himself for him. His human story continues with its limitations. Christ now shapes his identity and the way he lives.
This truth reaches our inner life. We can say that we belong to Jesus while still protecting choices we know need to change. Fear may guide a decision. At other times, pride makes an apology difficult or the need for approval takes up too much space.
Living by faith in the Son of God means allowing Christ into those areas. His Word confronts the reasons we create to protect our own will. Over time, we learn to consider what pleases the Lord before following the impulse of the moment.
Philippians 1:6 reminds us that God continues the work He began in us. This helps when we discover failures we thought we had already overcome. Some changes take time, and resistance still appears within us. The presence of Christ calls us to remain open to what He wants to form.
There may be an area of your life that you are still trying to govern on your own. Bring it honestly to Jesus and allow His will to reach that place.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, show me where I still resist Your direction. Teach me to live by faith and let Your presence shape my choices. Continue Your work in me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
