The Fruit Appears at the Right Time
Spiritual growth is not always visible right away. As we remain in Christ, God works in hidden places and strengthens what still needs time to mature before the fruit can be seen.

Devotional
Psalm 1:3 compares the person who remains in God’s Word to a tree planted by rivers of water, bringing forth fruit in its season. That picture speaks to the anxiety we feel when we want change to happen quickly.
There are seasons when progress is clear and others when familiar struggles return. A weakness may surface again, or an answer may take longer than expected. We can begin to assume that nothing is happening and measure our growth only by what we can see.
Colossians 2:6-7 calls us to continue in Christ, rooted in Him. Deep roots grow where no one can see them. That process takes time and consistency. God uses His Word to correct our thinking and strengthen choices that are still fragile.
Perseverance also requires accepting that we do not control the pace of maturity. We can respond to what God has already shown us and remain open to His work even when the results seem small.
You may feel frustrated because a change is taking longer than you hoped. That frustration can make you wonder whether God is still working. Consider whether you are still staying close to Christ. Fruit has its season, and your part is to remain where your life is being nourished.
Prayer
Lord, give me patience to remain in Christ while I still cannot see all the fruit I hope for. Deepen my roots in Your Word and sustain my perseverance. In Jesus’ name, amen.

7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
