Be Faithful with What God Has Placed in Your Hands
Faithfulness begins with the way we care for what God has already entrusted to us. Everyday responsibilities reveal our choices, our character, and the condition of our hearts before the Lord.
Devotional
Matthew 25:14-23 describes servants who received different amounts and later had to answer for how they managed them. When the master commended the faithful servant, he recognized the way that servant had handled what was placed in his care.
This speaks to a common restlessness. We may wait for a greater assignment to prove our worth while neglecting what already belongs to our daily lives. Our work, family, commitments, and resources are also responsibilities before God.
Faithfulness appears when we keep our word without recognition, work honestly, and care for what we have received. It can be seen in the patience we show someone close to us and in the care we give to a simple task.
The size of a responsibility does not determine its value before God. What is in your hands today may be shaping your heart for what lies ahead. Look at your life honestly. You may be waiting for a greater opportunity while God is watching how you handle the one already before you.
Prayer
Lord, help me care responsibly for what You have placed in my hands. Teach me to remain faithful in the tasks of each day, even when no one notices. In Jesus’ name, amen.
