A Sincere Heart Before God

Hebrews 10:19-23 says that we can draw near to God through the blood of Jesus. Christ opened a living way, and this truth changes how we face what is happening within us.

We often hide our feelings to protect the image we have built. We learn to say that everything is fine while carrying fear, guilt, or accumulated weariness. Before the Lord, that appearance loses its purpose. He knows our hearts, including what we try to justify or keep hidden.

Sincerity begins when we acknowledge the truth instead of running from it. There may be resentment in a relationship, a desire taking up too much space, or an area of life we are afraid to surrender. We can bring these things to God because Jesus has already opened the way.

Drawing near to the Lord does not depend on a flawless presentation. It rests on Christ’s work. We can recognize our weakness while remaining anchored in hope. Hebrews calls us to hold firmly to our hope because the One who made the promise is faithful.

Examine what you have been hiding, even from yourself. Bring it before God honestly, and allow His Word to guide your next step.

19 ¶ Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21 And [having] an high priest over the house of God;

22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

23 Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he [is] faithful that promised;)
