Jesus’ Truth Brings Freedom
Christian freedom does not mean following every desire. It grows as we remain in Jesus’ Word and allow His truth to confront what holds us back, reshape our thinking, and reach the choices fear still influences.

In John 8:31-32, Jesus says that His disciples continue in His Word. Then they will know the truth, and the truth will make them free.
This freedom grows through remaining close to Him. It does not come from hearing Jesus once and continuing to live by the same standards. We need to keep returning to His Word, even when it touches areas we would rather keep hidden.
Old fears can still influence our decisions. Some desires may have taken up more space than they should. We may also defend ways of thinking learned years ago, even after recognizing the harm they cause.
Jesus’ truth reaches all of this. It exposes what holds us and shows us a different way to live. Sometimes freedom begins with a simple admission: the way I think needs to change.
Remaining in the Word requires humility to listen, recognize what is wrong, and obey. Jesus does not offer an empty freedom built on doing whatever we want. He leads us away from the lies that distort our identity and pull us from God.
Stay close to His Word. Let it reach the places you are still trying to control on your own.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, keep my heart in Your Word. Show me what still needs to change and teach me to live in the freedom I find in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
